At Precision Research and Analytics, our mission is to conduct comprehensive research that allows our clients to make informed decisions about complex technical and scientific problems.
Current and Recent projects include:
Developing an extensive collection of research focused on the extensive medical benefits of phototherapy from analysis of several hundred peer reviewed scientific journal articles published by universities and hospitals worldwide. Specifically examining the documented results of phototherapy from light in the range of 600 to 1000 nM (coherent and non-coherent) as a medical treatment for numerous conditions including post operative recovery, heart surgery, skin conditions, neurological conditions, connective tissue disorders, bone fractures and other conditions. This also includes analytics of optical hardware such as LEDs, DPSS devices, high optical output stack arrays and their respective optics and circuitry for modulation and control in phototherapy applications.
Providing research and comprehensive advisement to a wood products manufacturer that has experienced production problems driven by seasonal biological process changes to the wood they process. In essence this research focused on the capacity and ability of wood to hold water within its (plant) cell walls and between cells in areas of vascular tissues in the Southern Pine species. This understanding revealed how multiple seasonal factors other than the seasonal temperature changes effect the production sequence, speed, and efficiency of manufacturing products made from pine trees in the Southern US. This knowledge led to multiple methods of improving efficiency in the manufacturing process as well as identified new products that could be manufactured at a lower cost based on a new understanding of efficiency factors in wood processing.
Compiling a research collection related to examining the biochemical pathways involved in inflammation and pain; correlating the research against the chemical properties of extracts from 25 species of plants; determining the combination of plant extracts and carriers most likely to reduce inflammation based on their known chemical profiles and comparing / validating the conclusions against peer reviewed publications, studies and other high credibility sources. This led to the development of a 100% plant based, drug free, topical anti-inflammatory oil now undergoing human testing and evaluation.
Studying visual perception factors and conducting meta-analysis of research publications related to persistence-of-vision LED rotating screens used worldwide as 3-Dimensional large scale video displays in arenas, airports, concert venues, shopping malls and other locations enhanced by large scale video displays.
Developing and publishing the algorithms, software processes and hardware arrangements for rapidly and automatically converting electronic images and videos based on cartesian data to electronic images and video for display on multi-rotor LED persistence of vision displays to create a large-scale 3D screen that does not require any glasses. This is the core technology that started the "LED Hologram" industry used worldwide.
Researching and developing a low-cost device to enhance medical cannabis preservation without the use of any chemical additives or costly processes.
Designing Quality Management Systems and efficient processes for small and medium sized businesses including manufacturers of automotive and aerospace components.
Maintaining, auditing and continually revising existing Quality Management Systems to improve manufacturing process cycle times, efficiency and resource utilization.
Providing training and advising to clients in areas of proprietary and confidential manufacturing processes; examining new processes of manufacturing that are more efficient of have other benefits both environmental and financial.
Consulting Concepts, Inc., (now Precision Research and Analytics) was formed in 1991 by Robert B. Gilbert (Bob) to serve as a consulting organization for clients requiring Technical Training and Technical Support. In 1991, CCI had one client, which was Motorola's Paging Products Group headquartered in Boynton Beach, Florida. Within a few years, CCI developed the Motorola account to eleven full time Consultants. CCI became Motorola's Prime Contractor for all of its technical training needs. CCI had offices within Motorola's manufacturing facility, along with a main office on Federal Highway in Boynton Beach. CCI designed, developed and delivered all of the Technical Training required by the Paging Group in the U.S.A. and Asia. In 1998 CCI's contract with Motorola ended when Motorola closed the Boynton Beach facility and moved the Paging Group to Texas (then subsequently refocused on the growing market for cellular phones, which rendered obsolete the need for pagers due to the recently perfected technology of text messaging through a cellular device).
In 1998, Mr. Gilbert joined forces with the Florida MEP (Manufacturers Extension Partnership), and began consulting for the Department of Commerce program, specializing in Lean Transformation. After extensive training, Bob, who won the Top Gun Quality award, worked with many companies throughout Florida to assist them in becoming Lean, and ultimately to become ISO Registered. Due to internal structural changes at the Florida MEP in 2000, Bob left the organization, and reestablished his client base as CCI. In September of 2001, the reorganized Florida MEP made Bob an offer he couldn't refuse, and he and his CCI clients continued their projects again under the umbrella of the Florida MEP.
In 2005 Mr. Gilbert left the MEP to create a consortium of seasoned professionals with diverse expertise to provide complete analysis of client's needs.
The CCI consortium emerged as a leader in providing solutions that contribute to their clients' profitable growth. Using the Governor's Sterling Award criteria (similar to Malcolm Baldridge), and the quality management and efficiency practices pioneered by Edward Deming, CCI worked with clients to ensure that their entire organization was in alignment, providing a cohesive culture of quality and efficiency based on their company's vision, mission and resources. CCI implemented this through training and mentoring, and using methodologies such as Lean, ISO, Lean-Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints (TOC) and other best practices.
In 2010 Bob's son Mark joined the company part time to expand the services offered, while serving as an educator. With his extensive experience in scientific research, physics and multiple areas of manufacturing, the company has continually expanded its capabilities. Mark holds numerous patents on systems and technologies used worldwide and has consulted with many companies to provide companies with analytical studies to simplify complex decisions. Up to 2001, Mark held positions as a Metrology / Calibration Lab manager for Predator Systems (now Curtiss-Wright Aerospace), and was an incoming article inspector and Quality Analyst for aerospace electrical component manufacturers. Mark served as a full time educator but engaged with the company more heavily in 2014, perfecting persistence of vision LED imaging algorithms and technologies he originally developed years earlier. Mark presently creates, revises and provides ongoing support for quality management systems in small and medium sized manufacturers and tech companies. Mark utilizes extensive levels of in-depth research to advise companies about technologies that are in their infancy, developing or emergent so that companies and individual business owners can make high value decisions based on the best available information. Mark presently manages and conducts the majority of the extensive research for Precision Research and Analytics.
